1st Quarter Awards in the SEL Schools

The SEL Schools recently completed the first grading quarter of the 2022-23 school year, and individual buildings took the opportunity to recognize students for their academic achievement and improvement, modeling positive behavior, and other noteworthy accomplishments during the first grading quarter. Greenview Campus, which includes Greenview Intermediate School (4th Grade) and Middle School (5th-6th grade) hosted awards ceremonies for each grade level and recognized students who earned Honor Roll (3.5-4.0 GPA), Merit Roll (3.0-3.49 GPA), and Perfect Attendance. Students who followed the Greenview Way of being “Ready, Responsible, Respectful, and Safe” were presented with the Arc Award, while those who demonstrated academic improvement during the first quarter received the Improvement Award. Intermediate School Principal Matthew Bryan and Middle School Principal Megan Young awarded students who modeled positive behavior and academic excellence throughout the first quarter with the Principal’s Award.

Memorial Junior High (MJH) also recently held 2nd Quarter Awards ceremonies in the cafeteria during which all recognized 7th and 8th grade students received a certificate for demonstrating academic achievement, as well as perfect attendance. Academic awards were given to students who achieved Honor Roll (3.5-4.0 GPA) and Merit Roll (3.00-3.49 GPA).

At Adrian Elementary School, any staff member can nominate a student throughout the school year to receive a Positive Office Referral for demonstrating outstanding character. Examples include trying their best, turning in quality work, or helping another student. Each nominated student comes to the office to receive their certificate and take it home with them to share with their families.

Congratulations to all SEL students who were celebrated for their achievement, diligence, and setting a positive example during the first grading quarter!
