The SEL Schools community once again demonstrated a spirit of giving this past holiday season by participating in Olivia’s Dream Toy Drive sponsored by Toys for Tots and Olivia’s Dream Foundation. Named after Olivia Schneider, a Mayfield City Schools student who died tragically in 2018, Olivia’s Dream Foundation was founded by her family to celebrate Olivia’s compassionate and giving spirit. Olivia also attended Sunview Elementary for Kindergarten and first grade before transferring to Mayfield City Schools. From November 25th through December 16th, 2022, donation boxes were featured at all six school buildings and the Board of Education. Thanks to the support of the SEL Schools, other local school districts, and Northeast Ohio businesses, Olivia’s Dream Foundation and Toys for Tots were able to collect 6,000 toys to donate to children who have experienced trauma or a traumatic event.
