Board of Education Members Tour Brush High School Renovations
tour
Members of the South Euclid Lyndhurst Schools Board of Education recently toured Charles F. Brush High School for a firsthand look at the major renovations that have taken place over the last several months.  Board President Cassandra Jones, Vice President Erin Lee, and Members Neil Bloomberg and Stefanie Rhine joined Superintendent Dr. Linda N. Reid along with Brush High School Principal Karl Williamson to tour the renovated front lobby space and corridor area, which has been completely refurbished with common areas, new seating, natural light, a safe security desk upon entry, new lighting fixtures, and wall furnishings. The long overdue renovations will upgrade and enhance the overall student experience. From there, Dr. Reid and Mr. Williamson led the tour of the former media center space (library), which has experienced tremendous enhancements for student small group collaboration, ADA compliance, new lighting, meeting, and presentation spaces and more. A Maker Space area allows students to become equipped with 3D printing skills, laser engraver technology and to participate in a video room complete with a green screen. The one-of-kind Innovation Lab showcases new tools such as an embroidery machine, state-of-the-art computerized drill presses and more. Board of Education members then toured the brand-new East Gym, new lockers rooms and enhanced dining area for students. Throughout the hallways, Brush High School branding, student artwork, wayfinding, signage, seating for collaboration and more has been furnished, all while keeping the historical charm and character of the iconic external façade intact. The community will learn more about these exciting upgrades in the coming weeks and months. Stay tuned for more information. Thank you for your continued support and Go Arcs!
