Brush Students Participate In Honors Ensembles
music
Brush High School is home to many talented musicians and would like to take the opportunity to spotlight several students who are participating in local honors musical ensembles. Jaslyn (Jazzee) Rozier is a member of the Lakeland Jazz Impact Big Band, an honors youth jazz ensemble sponsored by Lakeland Community College. Led by director Ed Michaels, the twenty-five middle and high school student members have been meeting remotely on a weekly basis throughout the school year. Jaslyn and the rest of the Lakeland Jazz Impact Big Band recently gave an impressive virtual performance during Winter Break which can be viewed online here.

Stuart Franklin is a member of the Cleveland Youth Wind Symphony Group II, one of three ensemble groups supported by the Cleveland Institute of Music. Approximately 300 students participate in one of the three ensembles. Featuring woodwind, brass, and percussion students from across Northeast Ohio, the Cleveland Youth Wind Symphonies have the opportunity to perform regular concerts at Severance Hall, home of world renowned The Cleveland Orchestra.

Congratulations to Jaslyn Rozier and Stuart Franklin on their participation in some of the area’s most prestigious youth musical ensembles.
