Greenview Participates in Problem Solving Tournament
math

Fifth and sixth graders from Greenview Middle School recently participated in the Greater Cleveland Council of Teachers of Mathematics (GCCTM) Problem Solving Tournament on February 22nd at John Carroll University.  The students worked hard in preparing for the tournament over the past two months, practicing during their lunch periods and after school.  Greenview Middle School was proudly represented, as for the first time in several years, a fifth AND a sixth-grade team earned top honors and received trophies!  Mrs. Delgado and Mrs. Newhouse served as advisors and coordinated the tournament which recognizes interest and perseverance in math outside the classroom through a competitive team format. Overall, the students had a blast completing math problems and greatly enjoyed the experience of being in a university setting.  Congratulations, to all participating 5th and 6th grade students!
