Fire Prevention Week & Poster Contest
logo
This week is Fire Prevention Week, which is observed each year during the week of October 9th in commemoration of the Great Chicago Fire, which began on October 8, 1871, and caused devastating damage.  As a district, we recognize several of our families have been impacted by house fires.  This year, Family and Community Engagement (FACE) Coordinator Maleeka Bussey worked with South Euclid Fire Inspector Scott Sebastian who created a dynamic presentation to provide lifesaving public education in an effort to drastically decrease casualties caused by fires.  Please click here to learn more about fire safety and engage in daily activities as a family.  In addition, please see the attached flyer for this year’s Fire Prevention Poster Contest.  Submissions for the contest must be received by Tuesday, October 13, 2020.  Winners will be notified and will receive a pizza dinner.  Any questions, feel free to contact Fire Inspector Sebastian at [email protected] or our FACE Coordinator Mrs. Bussey at [email protected].
