Greenview Students Support Cystic Fibrosis Fundraiser
cf

Students at Greenview Upper Elementary recently participated in a fundraiser game designed to raise awareness and funds on behalf of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  The non-profit organization is dedicated to finding a cure to the genetic disorder while funding various treatments for individuals living with the disease.  During the Prevention, Intervention and Enrichment (PIE) period, students played Cystic Fibrosis BINGO, using coins brought from home as bingo markers.  The game provided an opportunity for students to learn more about how Cystic Fibrosis impacts the health of individuals.  Students also learned how Cystic Fibrosis has affected a member of the Greenview School family, STEM teacher Mrs. Erin Macsurak, who is the mother of twins diagnosed with the genetic disorder.  At the conclusion of the game, teachers collected approximately $546 in coins which will be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  Congratulations to the students at Greenview Upper Elementary for their incredible generosity and support of life-saving medical research!
