Adrian Hosts Living Wax Museum
Adrian Hosts Living Wax Museum
As a fun and creative way to help students get to know each other and promote school pride, Adrian Elementary hosted a Living Wax Museum Tour on Monday, November 22nd. Coordinated by Youth Development Specialist Toya Owens-Hodge, students prepared for the school-wide event by creating posters featuring pictures, drawings, and written descriptions to help others learn more about them. From their favorite color and food to family pets and hobbies, the posters reflected the creativity and uniqueness of each student.
During the Living Wax Museum Tour, each grade level was given the opportunity to show their posters during their scheduled Encore class time. Building classrooms followed a rotating schedule by visiting the gym, art, and STEM classrooms to view the posters and provide students an opportunity to get to know their fellow peers. The reaction by Adrian students was extremely positive! Second grader Zaylin Radcliffe felt “excited and happy” to view the “beautiful posters” and shared that “when you get to know someone, you can become friends!” Thank you to Toya Owens-Hodge for providing our students a memorable opportunity to get to know each other, and congratulations to all students on their wonderful poster creations!
