The East Gym at Brush High School has witnessed a flurry of basketball skills, drills, and games over the past several weeks with the start of The Little Arcs Basketball Academy. Led by Varsity Boys Basketball Coach Chet Mason and members of the Brush boys and girls varsity basketball teams, the clinic serves as a community outreach program designed to build positive relationships with K-3 students and families in the SEL Schools. All spots for the clinic were filled within the first twenty-four hours, as sixty boys and girls signed up to participate in the program which takes place on successive Thursdays over three weeks, beginning on Thursday, May 20th and ending on Thursday, June 3rd. Students have enjoyed the opportunity to learn basic fundamentals and how to be a better basketball player in a safe and fun environment! Each session is live streamed to enable families to watch their child participate on screens located in the Brush HS cafeteria. A special thank you to Interactive Media/Production Coordinator, Mr. Charbel Zakharia for his efforts with setting up the live streaming service. Finally, thank-you to Coach Chet Mason and members of the Brush Basketball program for promoting Arc Pride and providing our students an exciting co-curricular opportunity!
