Summer Arc Academy Energizes Students
arc
Participating students in Grades Kindergarten through 6th are experiencing an excellent learning opportunity courtesy of the Summer Arc Academy while away from school during the summer months. Blending enrichment along with affirming the social and emotional needs of our district’s youngest student, and including some fun learning opportunities, students participating in the Summer Arc Academy are being re-acclimated to school based instruction. Hosted at Greenview, and led by Summer Arc Academy Principal Sylvia Marshall, students receive a healthy dose of English/Language Arts and Mathematics enrichment during the day along with interactive activities that engage their interpersonal skill development and social/emotion needs as well. Fun, but educational opportunities include athletics, basic financial literacy lessons, a magician, jugglers, and other outdoor activities, which are being provided, in part, by strategic partners of the South Euclid Lyndhurst Schools.  A special focus is placed on movement throughout the day, so students remain energized in between their learning opportunities. The Summer Arc Academy is being held in two, 2-week sessions, during late June and early July. Thank you to the partners who have helped to make this summer learning programming possible, and to the staff members who represent all the buildings in the district, who are helping to make this possible.
