Rowland’s Career Connections teacher, Mrs. Jones, took this year’s March Madness to another level with our third graders! Each third-grade student chose one of the sixty-eight college teams represented in the 2022 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament to research and completed a grade level bracket. Students then worked in class to identify the location of the college, cost of tuition, demographics, majors, and much more. The encore teachers worked together to hold a pep rally where the students who selected the teams that advanced to the Final Four presented their research. This year, the Kansas Jayhawks took home the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball championship. Students enjoyed the engaging research project and the opportunity to explore a variety of career and academic opportunities!
