STEM Learning at Sunview
Sunview Stem
Students in Miss Young’s STEM Class at Sunview Elementary recently engaged in a variety of engaging learning activities. To celebrate the 100th Day of School in early February, students made their own unique creation using one-hundred pattern blocks. 2nd and 3rd grade students then graphed the shapes by color to compare what they used for their colorful creations. Kindergarten students applied their collaboration and critical thinking skills to create a marble run using Play-Doh! Each marble run was placed on a rectangular plastic pan. Students then tested their run by holding the pan at an angle and dropping the marble to allow it to follow the designed path. Stay tuned for more STEM learning highlights in the SEL Schools!
