Brush Students Learn About Lincoln Electric

The South Euclid Lyndhurst Schools seek to provide students a variety of ways to explore potential career paths and job opportunities, including guest speakers. A prime example is Manufacturing Day, typically held on the first Friday in October at Brush High School. To accommodate the District’s current remote learning model, Lincoln Electric, a Northeast Ohio based company and world leader in the design and manufacture of welding and cutting equipment, provided a virtual presentation for Brush seniors, juniors, and sophomores on Wednesday, September 30, 2020. The presentation was led by Mr. Ryan Ellis, Recruitment Manager at Lincoln Electric, who provided photos and video footage from inside the facility located down the road in Euclid. Students also had the opportunity learn more about the company, employment opportunities, and interact with department managers Mr. Khalil Anderson (Technician) and Mr. Garrett Gustafson (Foreman). The virtual Manufacturing Day presentation was well received and appreciated by all participating students. Thank you to Lincoln Electric for their support and providing our students an important career exploration opportunity.
