Engaged Learning at Summer Preschool Program

During the summer months the South Euclid Lyndhurst Schools have provided several learning opportunities for students, including the recently completed summer Preschool program at Rowland Elementary. Over a four-week period, participating students from 3-5 years old engaged in variety of fun and educational learning activities with an emphasis on important transition skills and social interaction. This included students practicing regularly to identify their first name through activities such as tracing an outline of the letters and placing matching letters over the top of their name. To help practice following directions and working with others, students participated in hands-on projects such as making tie-dyed shirts, sand volcanoes, s’mores, and creating patterns using Jell-O. As a memorable way to celebrate the last day of the program on Thursday, July 8th, students wore their tie-dyed shirts to school! A special thank-you to all participating staff members for supporting our youngest students and providing them a positive and supportive learning environment!
