Adrian Gospel Choir Entertains Students, Staff and Church Community...Demonstrating Another Meaningful Partnership Between the Schools and the Community

The inspired voices of Adrian Elementary School third graders cheerfully echoed throughout their gymnasium earlier this week, as the student-based Gospel Choir performed for their fellow students to celebrate the holiday season. Led by advisor Mrs. Carol Spackey, nearly twenty students sang a half dozen holiday numbers at a special assembly, where parents were invited to attend as well. In addition, the Gospel Choir performed at the Board of Education Building on Monday and had the SEL employees tapping their feet, clapping their hands and smiling the whole time.

Both of these concerts helped to prepare the Adrian Elementary Gospel Choir for their primetime debut at Bethany Covenant Church in Lyndhurst on Tuesday evening, December 17, 2013, representing a firm partnership that our elementary school has with the church. Following their performance at Bethany Covenant, participants and their families were treated to pizza and a craft.

Together, Adrian Elementary and Bethany Covenant have developed a meaningful bond, whereby its church family sends tutors to mentor students. In addition, Bethany volunteers regularly provide canned food to students at our schools in need. Their generosity prompts a very well-deserved thanks from our Adrian Elementary School family and from the entire South Euclid Lyndhurst Schools.

Thank you also to the Adrian Elementary Gospel Choir for sharing your very precious gift of music and holiday spirit!
