New students and families were given a warm ARC welcome at the district’s New K-12 Family Orientation program on Wednesday evening, August 9, 2023, at Brush High School. The program began in the Performing Arts Center with introductions of SEL district administrators who provided an overview of their respective departments, including Technology and Safety Services, Student Services and Partnerships, Exceptional Students, Athletics, Business Services, and more. Parents and guardians also learned about opportunities to support their child’s school community through district and building PTA groups. Tables featuring handouts detailing important information about student programming and services were made available for families to take with them. New ARC families also had the opportunity to participate in breakout sessions to meet with administrators from their child’s building. The SEL Schools once again proudly welcomes all new K-12 families to The Destination School Community!
