Sixth Graders Complete Leadership Program

6th Graders Complete Leadership Program

A select group of sixth grade students at Greenview Middle School completed a five-week youth leadership program through the DRIVEN Foundation on Tuesday, April 30, 2024. The DRIVEN Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Brush graduate and former Ohio State and NFL football player Roy Hall, along with former Buckeye and NFL football player Antonio Smith, which seeks to make a difference through community outreaches, youth programs and events, and motivational speaking.

Under the direction of Jamaal Boyd, students gathered during their lunch period to learn and discuss a variety of leadership skills, including, goal settings, effectively handling conflict, developing a growth mindset, determination, and accountability. Each session began with a pledge that contained affirmative statements of being positive and respectful towards teachers and parents, as well as showing love to their classmates and families. Each student received a t-shirt from the DRIVEN Foundation to celebrate their achievement and to serve as a reminder of their commitment to being a leader in their school community. Congratulations to all participating sixth graders on their accomplishment and for setting a positive example!
