The outstanding talent and creativity of Brush student artists was celebrated at the 2023-24 Senior Art Show Award ceremony on April 17th in the Brush Media Center. Approximately thirty-one seniors participated in the highly anticipated exhibition. The art on display was chosen by the students and the work was created both at school and at home. Students chose to display a wide range of work consisting of drawings, paintings, prints, photographs, sculptures, mosaics, collages, and mixed media.
Six judges were invited to evaluate and award the senior art students. The panel of judges included artists, art educators, alumni, and the director of a local arts organization. During the ceremony, PTA representative, Crystal Basile, distributed awards for students who also participated in the PTA Reflections contest. Brush art students who received awards at the Scholastics Art & Writing Competition and the Ohio Governor’s Youth Art Exhibition were also recognized during the program. The impressive artwork will remain on display until May 6, 2024, in the Brush Media Center with many of the art pieces up for sale. The greater community is encouraged to support our students by visiting Brush to view the wonderful artwork.
