Brush Seniors Win Gold at SkillsUSA Event

Brush High School seniors Gabriel Hale and Jaime Payne had the distinct honor of receiving gold medals for their outstanding performances at the SkillsUSA Competition in Columbus, OH. The Skills USA Competition provides students with the opportunity to demonstrate their respective skills, knowledge, and abilities in specific career-technical training areas. Gabriel was named state champion in the Principles of Engineering and Technology competition, while Jaime was named the top state performer in the Network Security category. Both students will now advance to compete at the SkillsUSA national competition to be held in Atlanta, GA this summer!

Each of the above students are enrolled in one of the many career pathways offered through the Excel TECC program. Gabriel takes courses in the Construction Trades program and Jaime is enrolled in the Inform Tech Program pathway. The SEL Schools proudly congratulates Gabriel Hale and Jaime Payne on their state championship performances and wishes them continued success at the national competition this summer!
