Greenview Student Council Welcomes Guest Speakers

Greenview Campus Student Council wrapped up the year with two amazing guests. Mr. William Stanford, father of Jenny, spent time sharing the duties and responsibilities of his position at the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District. He shared specimens from a nearby river that are used to determine how pollution tolerant the species were. Mr. Stanford stressed the importance of clean water for people and the environment. Additionally, he advised the students to pay attention in school and take their education seriously.

The next guest was Magistrate Joy Kennedy, who is currently running for Judge in Cuyahoga County. She emphasized the importance of making informed decisions. Students were able to make that connection with taking tests and writing essays. She also shared how important it is to review things for yourself and not rely on others to provide accurate information. She highlighted belief in oneself and trusting your gut to help you make good choices. Both guests were engaging and demonstrated their positive contributions to our community. Greenview Campus Student Council also enjoyed a pizza celebration donated by Garfield Community Church. Advisors Ms. Buchanan and Mrs. Delgado are very proud of the students and look forward to the 2024-2025 school year.
