Tree Dedicated in Honor of Principal Fording

Brush High School celebrated the life and legacy of Principal Mike Fording during a special tree dedication ceremony on Friday, May 24, 2024. Family, friends, and colleagues gathered outside of Korb Field to pay tribute to Mr. Fording who passed away after a courageous battle with cancer earlier this year. The River Birch Tree, a favorite of Mr. Fording, and nearby rock will serve as a living memorial to the long-time educator who made a profound impact at Brush High School. Future generations of Brush students will now have the opportunity to learn more about Mr. Fording’s lasting contributions and be inspired by the values he embodied such as kindness, hard work, and strong character. A special thank you to Mrs. Zamiska and H&M Landscaping for donating the beautiful River Birch Tree and rock to celebrate Mike Fording, a forever beloved member of the Arc family.
