Celebrating the Brush High School Class of 2024

2024 Commencement

The SEL Schools celebrated the accomplishments and milestones of the Brush High School Class of 2024 during the Commencement ceremony on Monday, June 3, 2024. Parents and families joined members of the Brush administration and faculty, SEL Schools Board of Education members and district administration to celebrate the accomplishments of this year’s graduating class. Class of 2024 speakers Angelica Bustamante and Alanna Silverman encouraged their fellow graduates to cherish the memories of their four years at Brush and continue to pursue their goals and interests with perseverance. Interim Principal Jana Jenkins urged members of the Class of 2024 to honor the memory of former Principal Mike Fording by embodying the values he stood for, including, being kind to others, working hard, and being a good person.

Superintendent Dr. Linda N. Reid delivered her final commencement address and encouraged the graduates to discover their purpose as they take the next step of their respective life journeys. Board of Education President Cassandra M. Jones and past Board Member Stefanie Rhine also delivered inspiring remarks to the new graduates. The Fording Family was present to announce the inaugural Michael Fording Memorial Scholarship and the first recipient, graduating senior Hailey Spencer. On behalf of the SEL Schools, congratulations to the Brush High School Class of 2024 and best wishes for continued success in all your future endeavors!
