Duke University researchers found that pre-k education makes a difference in reading, writing and arithmetic and that those benefits last much longer than previously thought - through eighth grade and possibly even beyound.  Check out this NBC Nightly News report.

Preschool Philosophy

Our preschool philosophy is designed to meet the developmental needs of each child.  We strive to facilitate, encourage and enhance learning experiences for all children and to expand their knowledge of the world around them.

Our program is designed to focus on the child’s needs to explore, create, experience and socialize with other children.  Each day is filled with creative experiences and activities to stimulate and challenge every child at his or her own developmental level.

Preschool Families Attend Polar Party

Shortly before the start of Winter Break, students in our preschool classrooms invited their families to school for a Polar Party!  For several weeks prior, the preschoolers read and studied Bill Martin Jr.’s book, Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear?  The students were so excited to show their parents all that they had learned. Together with their families, the students read stories, performed songs, and decorated delicious cookies! It’s always a fun day when our families come to play.   A big thank you to all families who were able to participate in our Polar Party!   More +

South Euclid PD Visits Preschool Students

Members of the South Euclid Police Department visited the SEL Preschool recently to interact with students and teach about the role of police officers in keeping the community safe.  Students were thrilled with the opportunity to interact with police radios, handcuffs and meet Arie, a member of the South Euclid Police Department K9 Unit!  The visiting officers also took time to answer students’ questions and show them the inside of an actual police vehicle.  The educational visit helped to bring real-life connections to the classroom, as students have been learning about various types of community helpers.  Thank-you to the South Euclid Police Department for visiting with our Preschool students!
