Mollie Barnes

Mollie is the intervention specialist for our intensive needs preschool program. Mollie has been working for SEL for over 20 years in the field of special education. She especially loves working with preschool students. Mollie has a Master's degree in Teaching and Learning and a Bachelor's degree in Special Education, with a specialty in early childhood. Mollie also has been trained in Applied Behavior Anaylsis and TEACCH. When not at work, Mollie enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Shannon Moughan
 
With over 13 years’ experience working with young children, Shannon has dual licenses in PreK-3 and Early Childhood Intervention Specialist PreK-3, and a Master Degree in Early Childhood Special Education from Kent State University. Before coming to South Euclid-Lyndhurst School District, Shannon worked for the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities as an Early Childhood Behavior Specialist. Prior to working with young children, she trained urban youth to be peer mentors, was the Director of Education at the Domestic Violence Center and a stay at home mom to 3 children. Shannon believes that play is the best way for young children to learn

Stacie is a proud K-12 graduate of South Euclid Lyndhurst Schools.  As the itinerant intervention specialist for our preschool program, she works with students in either their homes or community preschools in order to meet their individual needs. Stacie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from Eastern Michigan University and her Master's degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Missouri St. Louis.  She has been a preschool intervention specialist since 2011.  Outside of teaching, Stacie loves snuggling with her dog, experimenting in the kitchen, and spending time with family and friends.

Elaine Mates   
Elaine Mates has 19 years of experience working in the SEL Preschool.  Prior to this, she was the parent of a special needs child in our preschool.  She loves our students and is so proud of them as they grow and accomplish goals!  She is a vegan and welcomes her home to pets who need rescued.  She loves to cook, bake and garden.

Carli Simonian has over eleven years of experience working with children and adults with special needs. She has a Bachelor’s degree in special education which she earned from Cleveland State University in 2012. Her hobbies are spending time with her kids and when she has free time she likes to go to her family cabin in Andover.

Elizabeth Parnin - Speech/Language Pathologist
Elizabeth Parnin is the speech-language pathologist for the South Euclid-Lyndhurst Preschool. She began working for the district in 2012, and has been working in the preschool for the past ten years. Elizabeth received her undergraduate degree in speech pathology and audiology from Marquette University, and her master’s degree in speech-language pathology at Cleveland State University. She is fully licensed by the Ohio Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology, and is a certified member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). Elizabeth enjoys working collaboratively with preschool team members to facilitate language development in the classrooms, as well as helping children become more independent and active communicators. She has two children of her own at home, and enjoys spending time outdoors.
Sarah Sebor  - Physical Therapist
As the Physical Therapist for the district, Sarah works with students from preschool age through high school. Sarah has been working in the district and preschool for the past five years.  Sarah attended The Ohio State University earning her Bachelor degree in Health and Wellness. While earning her Bachelor degree at OSU,  Sarah was also a member of The Ohio State University Women's Varsity Swim Team. After graduating from OSU, Sarah went on to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Franklin Pierce University located in New Hampshire. Sarah also enjoys coaching swimming in the evenings/weekends.  
Denise Weinberg - School Psychologist
Denise Weinberg is currently the School Psychologist for the South Euclid Lyndhurst Preschool as well as all of Rowland Elementary School. She has been with the SEL school district since 2006 and has held the position in the SEL Preschool for the past seven years. Prior to that, Denise served as the School Psychologist at Greenview Upper Elementary School, Lowden Elementary School and Ridgebury Elementary School. Denise has a Master’s Degree in Education and an Educational Specialist Degree in School Psychology. She has over twenty years of experience in early childhood education. Five of those years were spent at the Positive Education Program (PEP) in which she worked with students ages 3-5 with severe emotional and behavioral difficulties. Denise’s role includes evaluating and identifying students with disabilities, consulting with preschool staff and parents, assisting with behavioral interventions and facilitating the transition in and out of preschool.
