Fall 2023
Charles F. Brush High School welcomes the students, families, staff, and stakeholders of our school community to the 2023-2024 school year. Without question, we are excited for the new year, and the fresh start which always accompanies this new beginning. Together, we are joined on this collective journey of making the Arcs all one! We welcome you in this pursuit!
As we begin the 2023-2024 school year, several academic and coursework focuses will become a main priority for our building. Some of those include writing and the skill of forming cohesive narratives that accurately explain, and in some cases, persuade readers of our works. A new math curriculum is certain to have a positive impact on building skills and underscoring competency, entitled Envisions. In the world of supplemental offerings for electives, Brush High School is excited to present Forensic Science, Zumba, and History through the Decades as new course options to students. Be prepared to be evaluated on core competencies, through diagnostic assessments. Demonstrating improvement during various milestones will be important throughout the school year.
Please be reminded that a later start time for the school day takes place this year, and with this, and our new courses, students will have all the support they need to be successful and remain motivated. You can achieve anything you want to achieve if you stay determined and focused on your true academic dreams and goals. Also, please be reminded of the new Infinite Campus portal, for internal communications. Parents are considered equal partners in education for every student. We encourage you to monitor your student’s grades, schoolwork, attendance and please share any concern you may have.
Some important dates to keep in mind include:
- August 25th - 9th grade only reports to school
- August 28th - 9-12 reports to school
- September 5th -9-12 Picture Day
- October 13th - No school for students
Finally, at Brush High School we are all about education and that begins with the safety
and security of students and staff. Every student and staff member at Brush High School
must be committed to keeping a safe and supportive environment where learning is at
the center and where students can flourish. Let’s have a great school year!
