Sunview Winter Olympics Reinforces Importance of Taking Positive Actions

olympics

Sunview Elementary recently hosted a Winter Olympics themed activity as a fun and creative way to teach students about the importance of taking positive actions every day. Students and teachers worked together to complete various events such as building a snowman out of school materials, shovel and snow bucket challenges, and pretend torch relay races.  The Sunview Winter Olympics was capped off with an exciting scooter relay competition between teachers and staff.  During the event, signs displaying positive keywords such as cooperate, focused, and responsible were prominently featured throughout the school gym.  The emphasis on collaboration, teamwork and taking positive actions were part of the ongoing “Bucket-Filling” initiative at Sunview Elementary, which encourages students to be “bucket fillers” each day through words and actions that reflect kindness, encouragement, appreciation and respect.  Way to go Sunview!
