Greenview Elementary Honors Black History Month

With February being Black History Month, the South Euclid Lyndhurst school district promotes the importance to educate and share the history of African American culture and leaders throughout the past with our students. On February 3, 2017 Greenview Elementary was treated to an assembly, courtesy of our PTA, to honor and celebrate famous African Americans. Students got the opportunity to learn about George Washington Carver, Louis Armstrong, Stevie Wonder and many other prominent leaders in the African American community. Students enjoyed the interesting facts as well as some magic tricks during the show. Taking time to educate students in a fun and interactive way is very important to their learning and future. SEL will continue to celebrate Black History throughout the month of February and encourage students to expand their education and learn more about African American visionaries within cultural history.
