Sunview Elementary School was recently named a finalist in PLAYMAKERS, a weekly, state-wide sweepstakes sponsored by United Healthcare in partnership with Ohio State Athletics and Sports Radio 97.1 The Fan. The contest is designed to promote student health by providing schools, grades K-6, support and financial resources to encourage physical activity. Sunview was randomly selected as a winner after being nominated by community member Susan Trepal during week five of the 2018 Ohio State football regular season. As a result, Sunview will receive a $1,000 donation to promote physical exercise by students, as well as a chance to win a grand prize of $25,000! The grand prize drawing will take place on February 7, 2019 and will feature representatives from the South Euclid Lyndhurst Schools and eleven other Ohio school finalists. Principal Arika Taylor and the rest of the Sunview staff are excited to be named a finalist in the PLAYMAKERS sweepstakes and look forward to pursuing opportunities to promote student health and physical activity.
