Rowland Elementary School participated in the Pennies for Patients Campaign during the month of January, raising approximately $1,964.89 in just one week!  All money raised will benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and go towards funding research, finding cures and ensuring access to treatments for blood cancer patients, including children.  During the week-long fundraiser, students participated in a variety of special events to help raise awareness and funds on behalf of the Pennies for Patients campaign.  Mrs. DiFrancesco’s class won a free pasta lunch from The Olive Garden for collecting the most money, raising approximately $321.64.  Ms. Santarelli’s class earned second place, raising a total $317.21, while Mrs. Kozak’s class placed third with $167.48 collected. Thank-you to the entire Rowland Elementary family for supporting the Pennies for Patients Campaign and making a difference in the lives of children with cancer!
