The South Euclid Lyndhurst Schools values the relationships it has built with a variety of stakeholders in the community, and one which is truly cherished by students, teachers and administrators alike is with our senior citizens. Entertaining a room full of nearly 40 senior citizens at the Lyndhurst Community Center recently, Ms. Sara Ballou brought a dozen of her top-performing vocalists to perform acapella for these members of the Greatest Generation. The students, who ranged in grades from Ninth through Twelfth, sang a number of tunes, including the Alma Mater, and blended a holiday song with several contemporary ballads, while senior citizens enjoyed their lunches. Afterwards, students engaged with the seniors, visiting their tables and chatting with them. The visit to the Lyndhurst Community Center comes as a result of a strong relationship built with the Community Partnership on Aging. Thank you to this organization and the senior citizens in attendance, for their support and attention.
