On February 23rd, students from the Brush Orchestra performed at the Ohio Music Education Association State Orchestra Adjudicated Event. The orchestra students have spent the last several months working on music with Ms. Baric and Mrs. Paul to perform for three judges, as well as additional practice for the sightreading portion of the event. Students received an overall score of 2, which is defined as "A strong performance in many respects, however not worthy of the highest rating due to minor defects in performance, ineffective interpretation or improper instrumentation." Although the rating was not perfect, the orchestra still accomplished a lot in terms of preparing more difficult music than in years past. They look forward to continuing to improve their skill and performance as a group. Congratulations to the orchestra on their efforts! They look forward to seeing spectators at their spring concert on May 15th!
