AP Physics Students Visit Lubrizol Corporation

On Tuesday, April 5th, Brush juniors and seniors from Mr. Daniel Trentanelli’s AP Physics classes visited the Lubrizol Corporation in nearby Wickliffe. The visit was an opportunity for students to network with professionals in various STEM careers, including mechanical engineering, analytical chemistry, chemical engineering and organic chemistry. In addition, students had a behind the scenes look at the wide range of operations and experiments conducted at Lubrizol. This included observing scientists working on the development of fuel and engine additives in the Research Central area, as well as visiting the Mechanical Testing Lab to watch engineers test the company’s products on various motors. Overall, the experience helped students see the critical role science plays in everyday life and exposed them to new career possibilities, as they prepare to make their own college and career decisions. A special thank-you to the Lubrizol Corporation for providing our students a unique and engaging learning experience!
