SEL Brown & Gold Benefit: Night at the Races

The SEL Brown & Gold Benefit is a huge event that raises funds for a variety of organizations in the district.   Money raised helps support grant requests and special projects submitted by teachers, staff, PTAs and other organizations within the district. Raised funds also help with athletic equipment and support; band instruments, lessons and other related expenses, as well as scholarship funds for deserving Brush High School Seniors.

We are very excited about our Night at the Races event this year, being held on Saturday, March 14, 2015.  Please join us for the races, as well as the silent auction. We depend on your support to make this event a success. For more information, click here.

Memorial Students Recognized for Patriot’s Pen Essay Competition

Thirteen seventh and eighth grade students from Memorial were recognized by the Al Santos Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7536 for written essays submitted as part of the V.F.W. Patriot’s Pen Writing Contest on Wednesday, December 3rd. Approximately fifty-eight Memorial students participated in the national writing competition, which is sponsored by Veterans of Foreign Wars. Students were required to compose an essay addressing this year’s theme, “Why I Appreciate America’s Veterans”. All participating students were rewarded with a pizza party, sponsored by V.F.W. Post 7536 in the Memorial Junior High library.

The World Would Be a Better Place If...

Join us from 6-8 PM tonight (Friday, 12/5/14), in the Brush High School Library, to see how our students creatively finished this sentence:

"The world would be a better place if..."

National PTA's Reflections program encourages students in pre-K through grade 12 to explore and be involved in the arts. Students reflect on the theme and create original works of art in the categories of dance choreography, film production, music composition, literature, photography and visual arts.

Refreshments will be served.
