Superintendent Reid Meets with Local Business Leaders
Superintendent Linda N. Reid met with six members from the local business community to introduce the Arc Business Partnership. The new program is designed to create a stronger, mutually beneficial relationship between the SEL schools and the local business community. By partnering with the district, local businesses can help support students with financial assistance to provide them with opportunities to pursue academic achievement through scholarships, event sponsorships and contests. In return, the district will say “thank you” and help participating businesses receive additional exposure to the school community through a variety of ways, including recognition in the district newsletter and on the district website. Stay tuned for more info regarding the Arc Business Partnership!

Memorial Students Attend Anatomy Camp at CWRU
Memorial ALPHA and STEP UP students recently had the opportunity to experience hands on anatomy by way of anatomy camp at Case Western Reserve University. At Anatomy Camp, students experience learning in a fun, relaxed environment with instructors and pre-med students who are passionate about teaching anatomy. The 45 students at the sessions were divided into small groups. These lessons included the rare opportunity to examine human organs! The opportunity exceeded expectations and continues to demonstrate how the SEL schools educate, inspire and empower students to be high achieving contributing members of a global society.
