SEL’s Memorial Junior High School Gets A Visit From Cuyahoga County Judge Rini
Memorial Junior High had the pleasure of hosting Judge Denise N. Rini from the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas Juvenile Division this week. Judge Rini visited Mr. Burkholder and Ms. Butler’s 8th grade Social Studies classes. The purpose of her visit was to educate students on critical life lessons, important laws regarding juveniles and what to expect in the future. She expressed how an individual’s life can change in the blink of an eye if they make the wrong choice. She made the point that in adolescence, choosing your friends wisely is key! If you surround yourself with trouble and negativity it will absolutely affect you along the way. Promoting a positive, safe atmosphere is essential for everyone, especially our teens. We thank Judge Rini for her time and expertise.
