The South Euclid Lyndhurst Schools Board of Education will host a Special Meeting on Tuesday, September 24 th at 6:00 p.m. on the second floor of the Administration Building for the purpose of discussing the results of the State Report Card. Community members who are interested in learning more about the metrics associated with the State Report Card and how the District performed should plan to attend. More specifically, the discussion will include an overview summary of the different components of the State Report Card, what it does and does not measure and the specific metrics used for results.
Memorial Junior High recently debuted its MJH Strong Initiative as a creative way to recognize students for being accountable for their actions, as well as for demonstrating achievement in the classroom and co-curricular activities. Student recipients are given military-styled ID tags featuring the Arc logo and colors along with “MJH Strong” listed on each side. 8th graders Jermaine Hill and Dwayne Amey were the first recipients of the MJH Strong tags for their leadership.
With the new school year in full swing, Memorial Junior High hosted a fun PBIS Kick-off event for students on Friday, August 30, 2019. Students had a blast participating in a variety of indoor and outdoor activities, which included dodgeball, dancing, drawing and other art projects, basketball, football, soccer and kickball. PBIS, which stands for Positive Behavioral Intervention Supports, is a districtwide program designed to promote positive behaviors and personal accountability through quarterly school-wide events and other exciting incentives. Students at Memorial Junior High are off to a strong start for the 2019-2020 school year and look forward to another year of learning, achievement and fun!
