Sunview participated in the National event Jump Rope for Heart during the month of April in Physical Education classes. This year the Sunview students, families, and staff raised and donated over $6,700 in the annual event. All donations go to the American Heart Association. This year Sunview had over 200 participants make donations. There were 24 students raising over $100, and will be in the PE Teacher of the Day raffle. Coordinator, Heather Thrane, teaches the students the importance of keeping their hearts healthy by: being active 60 minutes a day, eating healthy choices, staying hydrated, and getting enough sleep. After 16 years as the coordinator of this event Mrs. Thrane has raised over $40,000 that has been donated to American Heart Association. We are so proud of our Sunview families for all their support.
